3D Game Models

A project inspired by a two of my favorite games, Minecraft and Old School Runescape.

Created and rendered weapon models for Minecraft, inspired by existing concepts from OSRS.

Inspiration

OSRS is a MMO that has been around since 2007 and has always caught my attention with its low-poly graphics and unique playstyle. It has continued to be a staple selection whenever I need to revisit an inner child moment. As I wanted to experiment new mediums in design, I took it upon myself to learn 3D modeling for a more modern game, Minecraft.

Application

After creating custom models and adding UV Mapping to each texture, it was time for the implementation (featuring our favored Boba Fett) of these models.

These were used to create what are known as CIT’s or custom item textures to apply the models to base game models with simple renaming. This WIP project will eventually be added into a modpack using Java with custom animations as well.
